These terms explain the Santa Wait text messaging program: how you sign up, what we send, how often, and how to stop. Santa Wait is operated by Brainiac Digital LLC. By agreeing to receive texts, you accept these terms and our privacy policy.
At a glance
- Program name: Santa Wait
- What you get: a text with your place-in-line link and a text when Santa is ready for you.
- How often: about 2 to 3 texts per visit. No messages after your visit.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP. For help: reply HELP.
Who sends the messages
The texts are sent by Santa Wait, a service of Brainiac Digital LLC, on behalf of the venue where you joined the Santa line. They are sent from a number registered for Santa Wait.
How you opt in
We only text a mobile number after the person it belongs to has agreed. There are three ways to join a line, and each asks for that agreement:
- On your own phone. You scan the line's QR code and open the check-in form. You enter your mobile number and tick an unchecked box that reads: "Yes, text me my link and a message when it's my turn. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." You can't join without ticking it.
- On a check-in tablet. The same form and the same unchecked box, shown on a tablet at the Santa station.
- With a Santa helper. The helper asks whether it's OK to text you about your place in line, explains that message and data rates may apply and that you can reply STOP at any time, and records your yes before adding you. The helper can't add a family without recording that answer.
Consent to texts is not a condition of buying anything, including a photo with Santa. If you'd rather not receive texts, tell the Santa helper and ask how the venue handles waiting without them. We record that you agreed and when.
What messages you'll get
These are informational messages about your place in a Santa line. We never send marketing or promotional texts.
- Check-in message, sent when you're added to the line. It names the program, gives your place in line and a link to a page that tracks it.
- "Santa is ready" message, sent when it's your turn to head over.
- A follow-up "Santa is ready" message, sent by the helper at most once more if you haven't turned up.
Examples:
- "Santa Wait: Hi Pat, you're #4 in line for Santa. Track your spot: swait.co/k3x9a2mq Reply STOP to opt out."
- "Santa Wait: Pat, Santa is ready for you! Please head over now. swait.co/k3x9a2mq Reply STOP to opt out."
Message frequency depends on your visit, usually 2 to 3 texts in total. We don't send texts after your visit ends.
Cost
Santa Wait doesn't charge you for texts. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan, including when you open the link in your phone's browser.
How to stop (STOP)
Reply STOP to any Santa Wait text to opt out. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. We'll stop texting you and may send one message confirming that. You can still open the link you were already sent to see your place in line, and a Santa helper can tell you in person when it's your turn.

Supported carriers and delivery
Texts work with most major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery isn't guaranteed, so please listen for the helper too, and use your place-in-line link to check on your spot.
Your information and privacy
We use your mobile number only to send the messages above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Our messaging provider receives your number only to deliver your texts. Names, phone numbers and notes are deleted 48 hours after you're added to the line. Read our privacy policy for the details.
Numbers that aren't yours
Only enter a number that belongs to you, or that its owner has told you to use. If you got a Santa Wait text and didn't ask for it, reply STOP and tell us, and we'll look into it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If we change what you receive in a way that matters, we'll ask for your agreement again.
